Celebrate the return of UK ospreys with World Osprey Week.

BGGW is delighted to join five other wildlife charities taking part in World Osprey Week from 22-26th March to celebrate the return of the ospreys to their nesting grounds.

What is World Osprey Week?

Founded by the Leicestershire and Rutland WIldlife Trust, who are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their Osprey reintroduction project this year, the week-long event aims to enthuse and educate people, in particular children, about this brilliant bird of prey.

Each weekday from 22-26th March, we will be sharing a video and activity pack for schools and children (and anyone who wants to take part), as well as fun competitions for individuals and classrooms.

Want to be involved?

If you are a local school or group that might be interested in taking part, please email us at rebecca@glaslynwildlife.co.uk to sign up and ensure you receive your videos and activities for WOW.

If you are not local to Glaslyn, you can get in touch with your local participating Osprey group (see below).

Don’t worry if your local school isn’t taking part, you can also follow us online throughout the week as we post fun and educational content on our website and social media channels – all the activities can be done from home!
