Although the Glaslyn birds can sometimes be elusive since the failure of the Glaslyn nest, visitors to the Glaslyn Osprey Visitor Centre at Pont Croesor are still able to experience fantastic views of nesting Ospreys.

The Friends of the Ospreys Pont Croesor nest is located just over 200 metres from our John Parry Hide and the resident pair on the nest Z2/Aeron (Dyfi 2017) and Blue 014 (Poole Harbour translocation 2018) have raised two chicks together this season, which is their fifth breeding season together. The well-grown chicks can now easily be seen on the nest, exercising their wings in preparation for their first flights, which should take place in two to three weeks time when they are between 7 and 8 weeks old. We are also getting great views of Z2/Aeron delivering fish to his family and the pair defending their nest from inquisitive intruders, which has included Aran on occasions.
