In just eight weeks we look forward to seeing an osprey touch down on the Glaslyn nest for the first time in 2018.

To enable you to watch that exciting moment live, the next couple of weeks will see us dusting the cobwebs from our nest cameras and making sure that everything is in excellent working order ready for “The Story of the Glaslyn Ospreys – Season 15” to commence.

BGGW is a small, community-led, independent wildlife charity. We do not receive any direct, outside funding to run the live-streaming or the visitor centre. We rely completely upon your generous donations and sales from our small Visitor Centre shop and café area to operate.

Would you be able to help us by supporting our appeal to raise £12,000 this season?

There are three ways that you can donate:

1. Via the PayPal donate button on the live streaming page of our website or from the donate button on our Facebook page:

2. By sending a cheque made payable to Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife to our Treasurer:

Mr T Ashton, 25 Cefn y Gader, Morfa Bychan, Porthmadog, Gwynedd, LL49 9JA

3. In person at the visitor centre when we officially open the doors for the first time this year. (We will be announcing the official opening date in the next couple of weeks).

As usual our volunteers will be doing their bit to raise money towards the operating costs of the live streaming during the year. At the end of March, BGGW will once again be fielding a team in the Harlech Triathlon, so keep a look out during the next few weeks for details of how you can sponsor the “Three G’s”.

Our fundraising volunteers are already arranging talks and events. They will also be attending local events with the BGGW fundraising stall to raise awareness of the ospreys and the other wildlife of the Glaslyn Valley.

Later this year we are also hoping to be able to open an online shop to sell a selection of our exclusive osprey related products to people that are not able to visit Pont Croesor.

Last year, thanks to your amazing generosity, you helped us to raise just over £12,000 towards our live streaming appeal. Thank you for your support, we could not do it without you. Diolch yn Fawr!
