Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife Team to race in the Harlech Triathlon

We are fielding a competitive team in the Harlech triathlon on Sunday April 9th to raise money for the Glaslyn Wildlife Project.

We aim to raise £4000 to pay for our extra camera on the second platform nest. If you give us more, the excess goes straight into the live streaming pot, which costs approximately £10,000 for cameras equipment and running costs season. You raised over £2000 last September when Glynis ran 5km: let’s double that with this Triple Event!

As proven, passionate supporters, please consider sponsoring The Three G’s: from left to right: Gwen (400m swim) Glynis (6k run) and Gwenlli (21k cycle) – BGGW’S crack team for this year’s Harlech Triathlon on Sunday 9th April.

The swim takes place in Harlech Swimming Pool, saved by the local community from closure, and now run by the locals. The run is along Harlech’s most gorgeous beach see below), and ends with a sprint up the 200 steps into the castle. Gwenlli will cycle twice around the town – along the coast and back through the hills. Come and cheer them along if you can. The three G’s are now limbering up; they give their time and effort willingly to our beautiful wild life project: and we ask you also to give willingly to the ospreys and all the other wild life in this magic corner of North Wales. Let’s keep these cameras rolling.

You may donate at any time, of course. This Triathlon Appeal runs until April 23rd – please tag your donation “Triathlon”. And keep watching for our returning ospreys and for our next appeal. THANK YOU. For more details about the Triathlon, go to:
